Our Role — What We Do and Do Not Do
German Private Health Insurance (GPHI) is not an insurer and not an insurance broker. We operate solely as a referrer (Tippgeber). We provide general information about private health insurance (private Krankenversicherung / PKV) in Germany and, with your consent, pass your contact details to independent, licensed insurance brokers (Versicherungsmakler under §34d GewO) who then advise you directly. We do not provide insurance advice, do not recommend specific tariffs, and do not conclude insurance contracts.
As a Tippgeber, GPHI does not itself require a §34d GewO permit. All insurance advice and intermediation is carried out by the independent, licensed insurance brokers (Versicherungsmakler under §34d GewO) we connect you with.

Compensation Disclosure (Vergütung)
Our service is free of charge for you. GPHI may receive a referral fee (Tippgeberprovision) from a broker if a connection we facilitate leads to a successful consultation or policy. This does not increase the cost of any insurance you take out and does not influence the independent advice the broker gives you.

We are not obligated to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle) and do not generally do so. We will always endeavour to resolve disputes directly and amicably.
Consumer Dispute Resolution (Verbraucherstreitbeilegung)
In accordance with §36 VSBG (Verbraucherstreitbeilegungsgesetz): We are not willing or obligated to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Please note that GPHI is a referrer (Tippgeber) and not a party to any insurance contract or advisory relationship. Disputes relating to insurance advice or an insurance policy itself are a matter between you and the licensed broker or insurer concerned; for such matters the relevant ombudsman for insurance is the Versicherungsombudsmann e.V., Postfach 080632, 10006 Berlin (www.versicherungsombudsmann.de).
Liability for Content (Haftung für Inhalte)
As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages in accordance with §7(1) TMG under general law. According to §§8 to 10 TMG, however, we are not obligated as a service provider to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances that indicate illegal activity.
Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected. Liability in this regard is only possible from the moment of knowledge of a specific legal violation. Upon becoming aware of such violations, we will remove this content immediately.
